Client Testimonials

My wife and I worked with Debbie Menzer to purchase a rental property two years ago in Northern Virginia, and the experience was wonderful. Debbie was the most pleasant, professional, detail-oriented realtor we had ever worked with, and we had experience, having bought our first home back in 1978. Debbie was tireless and the strongest, most well-informed advocate a homebuyer could want. She worked so efficiently with the seller's realtor and made the entire process so comfortable for us. She had encyclopedic understanding of her business. We even had some complex financing requirements that Debbie helped us solve. I would recommend her most highly and with great enthusiasm to any prospective homebuyer or seller.

Debbie was a great realtor for my partner and I. She showed us many properties with patience ( - she showed us A LOT). Debbie took all of our likes / dislikes, concerns / preferences to heart to find us our home. I don't plan on moving anytime soon, but if I do I'll definitely be using Debbie again for my next search.

I was inexperienced and knew very little about the real estate market. I was searching for my first home and was very apprehensive and intimidated with the whole process. Debbie was very patient and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns and eased all my apprehensions and fears. For me it was very important to work with someone I could trust and felt safe with. Debbie did this for me and some more. I always felt that Debbie had my best interests at heart and she never rushed me. She was very diligent about showing me different properties and options to make sure I was making an informed decision. Recently I had a question about my property taxes and Debbie informed with a very valuable answer and piece of information, this is going above and beyond the call of duty but this is the type of outstanding service you can expect from Debbie. If I am ever in the future looking to sell my property and buy a new one the first thing I will do is give Debbie a call. If you are wondering whether or not to make Debbie your real estate agent wonder no more pick up the phone and give her a call, trust me you you'll be happy you did.

My husband Mike and I were looking to purchase a new home during the downturn of the economy. Being first time homebuyers we really did not know exactly what we wanted. We quickly learned with Debbie's help and experience we needed to raise our price range in order to purchase a home that we would be happy with. Debbie's experience with the market as well as people experience helped guide us during the house hunting process. She was able to read my husband well enough to know the town homes is not what he wanted. I don't think he realized it until Debbie spoke to us about that option. With that in mind we needed to look in Manassas. Our home we purchased was an open house we attended. The house was not in our price range, but after family discussions we decided it was the home for us. We contacted Debbie and she guided us through the contract and let us know we were not the only contract on the house. With her guidance we changed the contract and we ended up buying the home. With Debbie's resources for financing and the home inspection everything went through. We were estactic!! Now almost 5 years later we are still enjoying our home and neighborhood. Debbie was a huge player in changing our life and we appreciate it!

Working with Debbie was a real pleasure. She responded to my questions quickly, and she was patient and took time to thoroughly explain the the various aspects of the house buying process. Most importantly, I felt Debbie had my best interests in mind; she made good suggestions regarding homes instead of pushing me toward a home that didn’t suit me just to collect a commission. I was able to close on a wonderful house just three months after I began searching thanks in large part to Debbie, and I recommend her highly to anyone seeking a talented Realtor.

Debbie Menzer has been the agent on three purchase deals for me in the last year or so.  I am an investor in real estate and have picked up the pace recently particularly in the Reston area.  It’s not easy being a good buyer’s representative.  Technically, both brokers represent the seller who pays the commission.  That said, I have been doing this for about 50 years now and a good agent on the buyer’s side can represent the seller well while insuring the buyer fully accesses the agent’s deeper knowledge of the local market. You want to walk away from a purchase knowing you got a fair deal and believing that “your agent” added value.  If you work with Debbie I think you will have that experience.  I did and I keep going back.

You hear a lot about the purchase of a home being the largest purchase you will ever make.  That’s really not true.  The mortgage you buy to purchase the home will often result in more cost to you than the purchase price.  And there are an infinite number of mortgage solutions in today’s market.  That best illustrates an important point in buying real estate.  The home purchase is only one of several interrelated purchases.  Most people need to buy a mortgage.  They need property insurance and they need to buy title insurance.  You may require a home inspection and you will need to procure a settlement agent.  You should not believe these individual purchase decisions make themselves.  I think you need someone with a broad knowledge of the market, its many facets and the practitioners in each field.  Debbie is an extraordinarily talented and experienced realtor who can navigate you through the process and its many decisions.

One final point.  Transactions are a whole lot more complex than when I started years ago with a two page contract.  Debbie stays on top of transactions to make sure nothing (especially you) falls between the cracks.

The experience of having Debbie Menzer as my Realtor was, and continues to be, very positive. After exhausting myself through multiple agents, I met Debbie and she patiently waded with me through the process of finding and buying my first home. Her approach is very patient, very personal, and she is truly knowledgeable about the real estate market and the buying process. This makes her extremely different from all of the other agents I have dealt with; who have been more focused on the sale or building their brand than they are about the customer’s needs. I was so pleased with my experience that I asked for her assistance again when it came to finding a new home to grow into. Debbie cares about her clients and makes the extra effort, always!
I recommend Debbie to all of my friends and I will likely never use another Realtor again.
